European Meander Day 6 Arrive Leipzig

The marathon was on Sunday, the 24th… Posting some of the pictures here. There’s not a lot to post today as we traveled on Monday, took it easy last night and are going to explore Leipzig today. We’ve actually had some comments so I guess there are people out there. This is still a new experience and having to modify all our pictures to fit on the site takes a bit of time (and skill that I don’t have). Enough excuses here’s the few photos from the marathon and travels. Should have more tomorrow after was wander the streets of Leipzig.

The marathon was “interesting” in that they have challenges (not the least of which is allowing unqualified runners (these would be the ones that were struggling after the first mile), but the route wasn’t a problem. It let us cross over from Kilometer 2 to 30 if we wanted and we were able to keep up with Erica.

The rest are just random pics from the travel day

Most of this was random. I’m going to do more stumbling stones, they are everywhere in Europe, we’ve seen them in BudaPest, Frankfurt, Berlin. They have the names of people who lived in the buildings that were removed to camps during world war II. I’m going to do another gallery of just the stones, there are differing opinions about whether these should be allowed. I’m not sure who puts them in.

Great pics. That cathedral, did you get to go in?

No, we were headed for the DDR museum, then had to get back for a train. I see the comments are black on blue, I’ll have to fix this.
