We made it to London Sunday morning, October 13, got on an SAS flight to Oslo, hopped on an express train at Oslo Airport to Oslo central train station and collapsed in our tiny hotel room. I’m finding that the ardor of travel, as I get older, is getting to be difficult. But we made it. Here’s the pics.
The first hotel in Oslo was interesting in that when we walked in the door there was no reception “desk”, instead we found a Barception… I guess people are old fashioned, now your met with notes and a display screen. The person behind the bar was nice, and she helped us understand what options we had for a meal, but otherwise people are out.
After a good night’s sleep we were up at 07:00 and over to the central train station for our ride out to Flam…
The train to Flam was beautiful and uneventful. It was nice to just sit back and enjoy the scenery. We met a very nice couple from Australia and had an enjoyable time chatting away about our experiences and where we would be going on this trip to Norway.
